When the skin becomes less elastic and the neck muscles start to weaken, “turkey neck” develops. The loose skin can get wrinkly and floppy, giving it an unattractive resemblance to a turkey’s neck.

The primary causes of drooping skin include ageing and sun exposure. Although there is no way to stop ageing, there are certain things you can do to slow down the process, including avoid smoking and protect your skin from the sun. Due to the hereditary component of turkey neck, you are more likely to have it if a parent already has it.

Although loose, wrinkled, or drooping skin around the neck seems acceptable on a turkey, many people find that this is an undesirable side effect of ageing.

While neck muscles can get firmer through exercise, this will not improve the skin’s quality. To enhance the look of your neck and get rid of turkey neck, there are a few treatments that can assist.
